A customer called us reporting a smoky room and an ineffective gas heater, apparently. When we arrived we noticed black soot all over the room and blinds. She was lucky to be alive! She was fortunate that the gas heater had not started a fire. When we disconnected the gas heater and moved it aside we confirmed what we had feared...Read More

Another day. Another happy customer!
Joyce loved our service and left a message thanking us. Thank you Joyce. We are delighted that your issue was resolved and you are happy with the outcome.

It's not often we get a typed thank you letter - with a typewriter - these days from our customers. We were so impressed we posted this thank you letter above for everyone else to see. This customer from Malvern East took the time to write to us with his typewriter. The least we could do was brag about it and thank him.
If you want to have a great experience with a plumber fixing your plumbing issues, call us at Gipps Plumbing. You don't have to use a typewriter though to thank us. But if you do, we will very much appreciate it.
We wanted to have a place to put all the images we come across of shoddy plumbing work, DIY disasters and fails. This is a collection of images we have seen of sometimes funny plumbing fails but also sometimes very dangerous disasters by amateurs. You may be well meaning and you may be trying to save a few extra dollars.
At Gipps Plumbing we are not only local plumbers and affordable but we also do the job right the first time. We guarantee our work so you are happy. We also turn up on time and work with a smile - always!Read More
Sometimes people try to fix things themselves to save money, time or their pride. Inevitably, unless they know what they are doing it could end up in a bigger disaster than what they started out with.
Here is a compilation of three videos we thought capture the risk of "Do It Yourself" (DIY) plumbing work. If you see even a hint of this happening please call us at Gipps Plumbing on 0467 688 004.
Sometimes the team at Gipps Plumbing have to go to places which are dirty, smelly or quite unpleasant. This is something which is part of doing a great job for our customers. So, next time you call a plumber and their work environment is a bit tough, maybe a cup of tea and some chocolate biscuits might be a great way to say thank you for a great plumbing job.
We always appreciate the friendship and care that we get from our customers.
Sometimes we are called out to fix other people's shonky work. We don't mind doing smaller jobs where others have taken short-cuts. We are amazed at what other people sometimes get away with. In the end, all shonky work ends up hurting your reputation.
If you need some shonky or bad plumbing work fixed up... call us.
Sometimes we do big jobs like this one which involve several people from our team. It gets quite complex but we plan it well and our clients are always happy in the end with the quality and the results.
Sometimes a leaky shutoff valve (on the water supply pipe to the toilet, sink, or other plumbing fixture) is simply turned too far open, meaning too far counterclockwise or to the left. Often, a slight turn in the opposite direction will stop the leak.
Replacing a shutoff valve, if it comes to that, is a fairly simple procedure. The pain comes from having to turn off the water supply for the whole house and draining the water out of the pipes up to the location of the shutoff valve.Read More
Sometimes you don't have time to call a quality plumber and may want to try to unblock a problem drain yourself. If you have the right tools and knowledge this should not be too hard for smaller jobs.
Here is a quick video from our friends at Bunnings on how to unblock a drain. If you need help or get into trouble, just call us and we will be able to help out.Read More
